One of the advantages of choosing to host your Southeastern Massachusetts weddings at The Crystal Room is that we include a four-course plated meal with our Custom Wedding Package. You have the freedom to select the food options that you want for your guests, either from the menu items that are included in the package or by upgrading to a different wedding menu selection. When you choose a wedding reception menu, don’t just think about the price or the number of guests. There are many things that should go into the reasons behind the food you decide to serve at your Milford wedding reception. Whatever you do, just make sure you pick something that you enjoy.
Included Menu Items
Once you secure a date for your wedding at The Crystal Room, you can schedule a food tasting appointment with one of our in-house event coordinators. This can be extremely helpful if you don’t know what you want, aren’t familiar with some of the food items, or if you want to make sure that the wedding menu selection suits your tastes. The first course includes your choice of soups – homemade Chicken Escarole, Vegetable Minestrone, or Italian Wedding soup. Consider how these soups will go with the rest of the menu that you will have served at the Milford wedding reception. The next course that you will focus on when you choose a wedding reception menu is the salad course. Our in-house catering team offers your choice of tossed garden salad with seasoned croutons and Italian dressing or a classic Caesar salad with shredded Parmesan cheese and Caesar dressing.
The third course includes your choice of meats and sides, such as our popular roast turkey with sage stuffing, cranberry sauce, and pan gravy. Two options for boneless chicken breast include a baked stuffed version with sage bread stuffing or seasoned rice stuffing with cranberry sauce and pan gravy. We also offer a center-cut stuffed pork loin with sage stuffing, cinnamon apple sauce, and pan gravy. The third course also includes the option to add a vegetable and a starch. The vegetable choices include fresh string beans almondine, fresh string beans sauteed in garlic and oil, glazed fancy sliced carrots, and buttered sliced carrots. The starch choices include whipped Idaho potatoes, Italian-style oven-roasted potatoes, oven-roasted Red Bliss potatoes, and rice pilaf. Dessert is the fourth course and can consist of your wedding cake with a coffee and tea station or dessert upgrades, which can be added on for an additional cost.
Wedding Menu Upgrades
The fun part about planning Southeastern Massachusetts weddings is having the ability to upgrade, change, and customize the wedding menu selection. Some couples make choices based on the theme of the wedding, the season, their own personal tastes, or budgetary restrictions. It can be exciting to add something elegant and unexpected to the menu offerings, such as upgrades to the second course that include a classic antipasto, stuffed ravioli, jumbo stuffed shells, and meatballs and sausages. You can wow your guests with upgrades to the third main course entrees, such as a classic chicken Cordon Bleu, New York Sirloin Strip with Au Jus, Roasted Prime Rib, Surf and Turf, or Lamb Chops, depending on your preferences.
Some of the dessert upgrades include an assortment of fancy pastries, vanilla ice cream with your choice of chocolate or strawberry sauce, and sliced cheesecake with strawberries. We can also add buffets and stations, a wide array of hors D’oeuvres, and we even offer upgrades to the vegetables and starches that go with the third entree course. You can view a list of options to help you choose a wedding reception menu at The Crystal Room, but your best bet is to schedule a complimentary food tasting appointment with one of our on-site event coordinators. It is included with the Custom Wedding package and is highly recommended to make sure that you get the options you want at your Milford wedding reception.
Advantages of On-Site Catering
